If you are looking to get away from the heavy and full-bodied red wine. Try this... Eugene Klipfel 2007 is a nice white from Alsace, France. When served chilled at about 10 degrees celsius, this wine is fabulous, with sexy nose of floral perfume, passion fruits and lychee. Some good acidity in the wine produces the effect similar to sparkling wine, or coke if some can relate better. The wine was very light yellowish, typically the effect of white wine produced in cool climate country. Each sip was totally refreshing as the taste of the sweet juicy lychee aroma became prominent as if you are chewing on real lychee flesh. A good medium to long finishing of jasmine flower add to the overall satisfying experience. Honestly, this is one of the better white I have tasted so far and I absolutely love the floral aroma. However, I felt that it could be more attractive if this wine is priced at about $27-$30 range. Having said that, my pals had totally enjoyed this session and the white has lesser alcoholic effect on us as compared to the red. One of them felt its was rather sweet, but I simply have no complains. Maybe it's the fresh changed that had appeased my taste bud. Bring this to any seafood meals. I've strongly feel it'll complement well.
